This is a great site and really informative!
I wanted to ask you something. I am writing an article on the Thai Culture Test (TCT) for a British newspaper. Here's my latest for them - http://www.guardianweekly.co.uk/?page=editorial&id=1256&catID=18

That was a sad day when Candy uttered that ethnic slur. But, the lessons were learned and everything ends well. It made me proud to be an Igorot when many stood and corrected Candy but I am proud all the more reading news the last few days. "Igorots forgave Candy Pangilinan" shows that we are indeed more human than others. more…

It's not overreacting. if Filipinso think that what Erap did to Claire Danes was right, so are the Igorots and local non-Igorot politicians who have made the Cordillera their home.
This whole thing reminds me of the Desperate Housewives issue. if it were Filipinos that were made into joke, it's offensive but if Filipinos make jokes abo more…

Hi Abel,
I am one of those teachers without a degree that needs to pass the teacher's exam. Can you tell me which schools are offering the rumored 6 month / 80,000 baht course? So far, all I am finding is hearsay concerning both the length of time, and the price. Thanks for any legitimate info you can supply.

Hello Abel,
I'm saddened by this accusation against you. I hadn't noticed this until I opened my blog this very early morning (3am).
That was a malicious accusation, indeed. It's easy for this person to accuse without thorough investigation first. The time the accusation was made seems to suggest that it is indeed mali more…
